News from the SCAS Community: New Positions; Prizes & Awards


Lorraine Daston (Director emerita, Max-Planck-Institut für Wissenschafts-
geschichte, Berlin) has been awarded the Gerda Henkel Prize 2020.

Lorraine Daston was a Guest of the Principal in residence at the Collegium in the
autumn term of 2019.


Aryo Makko (Associate Professor of History, Stockholm University) has been
appointed Director of the Hans Blix Centre for the History of International Relations
at Stockholm University.

Aryo Makko is a SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Fellow. He was in residence at the Colle-
gium in the academic year 2017-18.

Ola Wikander (Reader and Senior Lecturer in Old Testament Exegesis, Lund University)
has been rewarded SEK 75 000 from the Carlo Landberg Foundation.

Ola Wikander is a current SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Fellow. He spent time in residence
in the academic year 2018-19.


Michael Yonan (Professor of Art History, University of Missouri, Columbia) will take
office as Professor and inaugural Alan Templeton Endowed Chair in the History of Euro-
pean Art 1600 – 1830 at the University of California Davis in the autumn.

Michael Yonan was a SCAS Fellow in the spring of 2014.
